The diving centre

The home base of the Diving Center is a villa on the promontory of Capo Galera, at the center of the gulf of Alghero built by a Dutch oil company manager in the 50’s.

All of the guest rooms have a terrace overlooking the sea; the Mediterranean vegetation surrounding the villa contributes to the charm of a holiday in nature with time to relax and enjoy yourself, even for those who do not want to do underwater activities.

All of the Diving Center gear comes directly from Cressi Sub and is guaranteed and serviced by them.

Three compressors guarantee a filling capacity of 44 cubic meters with a system of intermediate tanks to ensure the best quality of air.

The villa is located on the top of a cliff 15 meter above sea level, but do not panic! 

To carry the gear down to the dock we have the old "Zapp" - but don’t worry - "Zapp" is not a slave but an old and glorious little boat rigged on a rail and used as a lift to take all the diving gear from the Diving Center to the pier, as you can see from the photo.

From the pier you board Patrizia, a splendid 15 meter wooden boat built in 1966 at the Aprea shipyards by the expert master shipbuilders of Torre del Greco.

The boat was completely restructured in 2001 to comfortably take twenty divers.

Thanks to the location of the Diving Center, you can reach the diving sites with a short trip, 10 to 30 minutes, just in time to set up you gear for the dive.

The staff, co-ordinated by Gaddo, is composed of expert divers who know every corner of the coast and every cave where you can find fascinating things.

Led by them, you can dive at any level, from beginner to expert, doing night dives or  exploring one of the many underwater caves that are along the gulf.

Lastly, just jumping from the pier, you can also enjoy wonderful diving as well as snorkeling around the cliffs.
