If you really want to discover what adventure in SCUBA diving is, Utila Dive Centre's Advanced Open Water Course is perfect for you. During this course, one of our Instructors will guide you during 5 open water specialty dives of your choice. These dives may include Deep, Night, Peak Performance Bouyancy, Wreck, Underwater Photography, Diver Propulsion Vehicle and many others.
You will experience famous local dive sites like Utila's Halliburton Wreck, which is a cargo ship that lies in 30m/100ft of water, or the dramatic drop-offs on the North Side's 'Turtle Harbor'. This license allows you to dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 30 metres/100 feet without professional supervision (where local laws allow). This certification requires just 2 days, or 1 day if you already hold an Adventures in Diving certification. During the course, you can even sample training exercises from the PADI Rescue Diver course during this program that will credit you should you continue your diver education.
Our Instructors at UDC are all qualified to the rating of 'Master Scuba Diver Trainer' and have a wealth of experience that you will benefot from on your AOW class. Or fast comfortable dive boats will take you on exciting wall dives on the Northside of Utila and in addition to seeing amazing aqutic life, and stunning drop off's and diving sheer walls, you may get lucky and see a Whale shark. The price listed above includes all books, materials, taxes, and 3 nights in our Shared Bathroom Dorms.
