Joe Dallison - PADI Instructor 181198

Joe grew up in Western Australia by the beach and spent as much time as possible in the sea snorkelling and swimming. Completing his Open Water course at the age of 16 he made his way through the ranks eventually attaining the Instructor rating a few years later.  In 2001 he took off to backpack around South America.  A year later he found himself in the Galapagos Islands doing some of the diving of his life!  Being in the right place at the right time he met not only his partner, Karin, but also ended up teaching diving in these Emerald Isles.  What followed was a number of years teaching diving in the Red Sea, the Caribbean and the Maldives.  2 years dive guiding on board the award winning Tornado Marine Fleet boat, the Hurricane, did his career no end of good. He has branched out into many different fields of diving including photography, videography, rebreather diving and trimix. After 10 years on the move a change in scenery was needed.  The challenge of owning and running a UK dive centre was too much to resist.  Managing Oxygene Cranleigh since the end of 2008 he has been instrumental in turning the school into Surreys Premier scuba training facility.  Already interested in equipment maintenance he has qualified with all of the major manufacturers to service their regulators, BCDs and other equipment.  He now runs the Oxygene Cranleigh Manufacturer Authorised Service Centre, servicing around 300 regulators a year.

"I enjoy every time I drop into the sea no matter where it is. Over the past 2 years I have done a lot of diving here in the UK including Lundy Island, The Scillies, Normandy and more and have really enjoyed it. I never get sick of seeing the enjoyment on peoples faces when they learn to dive or see something underwater they havent seen before. This keeps me doing this. Actually there is nothing else I can see myself doing!"
